Re-elect A Proven Leader Who Puts Residents First

While I was supervisor for 12 years (2008-2019), my goal was always to make Wallace Township the best place for the people of Wallace to live, raise families, and enjoy the rural tranquility we all cherish.  From improving roads and emergency services, to cutting taxes, protecting property rights, and maintaining our rural character, I have always put our residents first!

As Supervisor (2008-2019) – Always serving alongside two amazing board members:

·         Voted to remove the Wallace Township property tax (No property tax since 2009!)

·         Worked with local ambulance company to cut response times in half and staff ambulances with paramedics.

·         Took the township from 600K in debt when I started in 2008, to over a million dollars in surplus which has been set aside for difficult economic years and special projects that benefit the residents (like revitalizing Wagenseller Park).

·         Brought Common Sense back to our township ordinances.  Giving back important rights to property owners to raise chickens and other beneficial livestock, keep more horses on their property, build in-law suites (which were illegal), removed permits for sheds and fences and lowered fees for permits across the board.

·         Negotiated with West Brandywine Township to bring excellent police services to Wallace Township.

·         Purchased Hannum woods to nearly double the size of Burgess Park to continue to add a protective barrier to our beloved and most important natural resource the Brandywine Creek.

·         Acquired more open space adjacent to the Brandywine Creek and along an important tributary (Indian Run) thanks to the Wheeler’s generous land donation.

·         Negotiated an extension to Struble Trail that will grant access from Devereux Road to Park Road once completed.

·         Roadmaster for 12 years: responsible for plowing and road maintenance.  Steered much needed $ to roads and began an aggressive, systematic maintenance program to pave and seal roads every year to prevent a deteriorating road system (which had previously been neglected).

·         Significantly increased funding to emergency services (police, fire company and ambulances).

·         Started equipment funding accounts for Glenmoore Fire Company and Westwood Ambulance Company to set aside much needed funds every year for new firetrucks and ambulances.

·         Emergency Services coordinator for the township for 12 years.

·         Assistant Emergency Management Coordinator: Responsible for emergency and disaster planning initiatives.

·         Saved the historic Indiantown Schoolhouse and created a beautiful usable space.

·         Worked to successfully establish the Glenmoore Historic District to protect our wonderful historic village!

·         Laison to the Pennsylvania State Police.

·         Commissioner on the Brandywine Regional Police Commission.

·         Worked diligently with Devereux Foundation to make important changes to safety and policy to make the campus safer for students and residents.  Negotiated to increase donations from Devereux to the township for the significant burden placed on our emergency services from Devereux police calls and fire department calls.

·         Upgraded ALL the neglected machinery and buildings that had plagued the road department for years (new backhoe, newer dump trucks, new mini dump, new front-end loader, new skid loader, new mowers, new salt shed, new office, etc.)

Community and Church Service:

·         Served as a Church Elder

·         Founding Troop Master of Trail Life Troop 1:9

·         Track Coach for Aleithia Learning Community (Junior High and High School)

·         Basketball coach for UPWARD basketball league

·         AWANA leader

·         Many years teaching Sunday School

·         Served as Youth Group Leader

·         Member of the Brandywine Regional Police Youth Aid Panel: Helping first time offenders rehabilitate through common sense and meaningful restitution to victims and the community.

·         Republican Committeeman – Wallace Township

Personal and Professional Life:

·         My most important job and title is husband (to Christine) and father (of two young men, Richard and Caleb)

·         Owner of MulchMonkey.com

·         Owner of BPM – National Telecom Site Maintenance

·         Built and maintain several custom websites including e-commerce sites and fleet management and scheduling sites (including REMTrack and mulchmonkey.com)

·         Past Found/Owner of a Software Design Company

·         Computer Sciences Corporation Consultant at Merck and PECO

Education:

·         Master of Computer Science - Villanova

·         Bachelor of Computer Science – Penn State

·         Downingtown High School Graduate (1990)

My Opponent:

·         "We rational humanists absolutely NEED Democrat judges on the bench!!!" - Sherry McVickar

(This sounds very exclusionary of all religious people in our township: Christians, Muslims, Jews, etc. --- and exclusionary to an entire large segment of our township residents --- republicans and independents.  We can't trust such a divisive leader to run our township.  I will represent EVERYONE regardless of their heartfelt beliefs or their party affiliation.  “Love your neighbor as yourself” (even love your enemy).  We are neighbors and I will do everything to help your family as if it was my own.  We are in this together!  In addition, I want fair judges not partisan judges.  Judges who will actually follow the law, not side with criminals by handing down light sentences and no bonds.  Or siding with their friends in power or with issues they want to promote.  Instead, judges should treat everyone equally and uphold the law and use their bench to punish evil!)

·         "Keep Wallace Green" - Sherry McVickar

(Very deep --- not cliche at all --- I would really like to hear some more substance.  What specifically will my opponent do when she gets in office to “Keep Wallace Green”?  I do appreciate that she says "KEEP" meaning it is green (assuming she means rural and beautiful and amazingly unscathed unlike the townships around us) because I spent 12 years working hard to protect our streams, waterways, and vistas.  Fighting to keep them clean and untarnished and in many cases better than when I started working to protect them.  So, I appreciate that she thinks that we have been doing a good job.  I promise to continue doing that on top of a proven track record.  What does my opponent propose to do differently?)
